Air Rally Scholarship Deadline is Feb. 1st!

Our friends at the Air Rally invite local students to apply for its Air Academy Scholarship. The deadline is February 1st.

The Air Rally, the longest continually-held proficiency flying event in North America, is funding scholarships for students ages 16-18 for the Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) Air Academy's summer 2018 program

The Air Academy is located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and is an aviation-oriented in-residence summer camp for students to develop and explore their interest in aviation. This unique summer camp will take their interest in aviation to the next level. The participants explore the world of flight through aviation studies taught by top-notch aviation instructors. Hands-on activities and flight simulation are some of the many exciting experiences that students participate in. The highlight of the camp is a flight in a real airplane. These camps provide the foundation for a lifelong love of aviation as well as the opportunity to create friendships with fellow aviation enthusiasts.

This scholarship will cover the costs of camp tuition and round trip commercial air transportation. Applicants will be selected through a competitive screening process. Scholarship application materials can be downloaded here.

The dates for the Advanced Air Academy are:

  • July 27 -August 4, 2018
