The Aviation Learning Center presented an extraordinary educational experience for students!
The expansion of the Aviation Learning Center provided a greater solution for all your aviation-related wishes and requests. We’re excited by this development and enjoyed working closely with teachers, schools, and school districts on an enriching learning experience.
All schools and school programs were invited to conduct a field trip at the National Championship Air Races. We expect the experience will be felt for many years through the memories and experiences shared while on the Air Race campus.
Schools were required to register with Pathways to Aviation to qualify for complimentary free admission to the Air Races. Schools which did not register and participate in the Aviation Learning Center were required to pay the admissions fee for each student and chaperone, as well as parking for cars and buses. Thanks to generous donors, this rule was never enforced.
To qualify for a free admissions field trip experience, schools (or teachers) were required to:
- Officially register their field trip by completing the online registration form; and,
- Conduct or facilitate at least one standards-based class in the Aviation Learning Center during the field trip.
We enjoyed creating an exceptional experience for students, teachers, and chaperones in 2016. The intent was for each student and teacher to walk away with a “wow” factor and, more importantly, tools to advance academic performance and pursuits. The result far exceeded our expectations!
UPDATE - We regret to inform that we will not be participating in the 2017 National Championship Air Races.
