Challenger Learning Center - Science Saturday

Exploring Planet Earth

Join the Challenger Learning Center and its guests for a journey into nature! Featuring the first showings in Nevada of "Habitat Earth" -- a fantastic, new, immersive, full-motion planetarium show from the California Academy of Sciences.

Participants will dive beneath San Francisco Bay, travel through the roots of a tree, explore the tunnels of an ant hill, swim with otters, and explore Earth from a perch in space!

Additional exciting activities:

  • Participate in a hands-on outdoor science lab testing Truckee River water quality
  • Run a simulated mission in space as members of the EcoNaut Emergency Response Team
  • Enjoy a presentation from Meghan Collins, Environmental Science Education Lead with the Desert Research Institute

Plus, after free refreshments, visit the rest of the museum and exhibits at your own pace!
