This year's Futures in Aerospace program was a phenomenal success. Among those sharing credit are a handful of outstanding students.
When we created a special scholarship to recognize students for their participation in the career mentoring program, we expected to honor three or four students, at the most. However, it didn't take long to notice the interest of many, who took advantage of the leaders and resources we brought to each workshop.
This year's program engaged 86 high school and college students with career planning resources and industry leaders. While we hope the students pursue careers in the aviation industry, the special scholarship was designed to recognize students for their active involvement within our program. Every opportunity presented to the students was tracked. Points were earned by attending workshops, participating in conversations, utilizing the specially-designed career workbook, taking advantage of offers from speakers, and seeking assistance with resumes.
The following students were extremely active with our Futures in Aerospace program and deserving of scholarship awards.
