We're actively recruiting leaders who want to make a difference in the lives of young people. These leaders can be experts in the aerospace industry, specialists in skilled trades industries, and professionals in other industries.
The 2018/2019 Futures in Aerospace program will feature over 15 industry panels, career planning workshops, and networking mixers in three, perhaps four, easy-to-access locations. Plus, we're posting short videos of aviation experts, who share advice, job opportunities, and more.
- Industry panels - these will take place during Fall 2018 at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. They'll feature 3-5 aerospace industry specialists who will share their crafts, career paths, applicable experiences, and advice through 15 minute presentations, followed by a Q&A period.
- Career planning workshops - these will take place during Spring 2019 at the Reno-Tahoe, Truckee Tahoe, and Carson Airports. They'll feature three aerospace leaders who will share career experiences and advice through 10-15 minute presentation, followed by engaging in career readiness workshop discussions.
- Networking mixers - these will take place during Aviation Career Week (May 13-17) at the Reno-Tahoe, Tahoe Truckee, and Carson Airports. They'll gather professionals from all industries to participate in structured and purposeful conversations with students.
- Career videos - share professional experiences, career advice, and job opportunities in brief videos. These videos will be featured on our website.
The demand of time is minimal, yet the impact could launch a young person's lifelong career path.
