“We thank Governor Sandoval for highlighting the many contributions of general aviation with his proclamation,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “General aviation supports the state’s agricultural groups, businesses and helps provide thousands of jobs. General aviation also assists our nation’s law enforcement and healthcare personnel.”

“General aviation and community airports are critical resources for Nevada’s businesses and organizations, allowing them to make new connections and reach their clients with ease,” said Mark Baker, President of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). “We thank the Governor for spreading awareness about the important contributions of these aircraft in Nevada and our country.”

“With the use of business aviation, companies in Nevada can expand their operations further, tap into new markets and better compete in today’s global economy,” explained Ed Bolen, President and CEO of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). “We thank Governor Sandoval and his staff for the proclamation and hope we can work with them to support both the general aviation and business aviation industries.”

“General aviation is a vital form of transportation and a source of joy for so many aviators in our country,” said Jack Pelton, Chairman of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). “We thank Governor Sandoval for his proclamation, and hope that it will help educate citizens about general aviation and inspire a whole new generation of pilots and aviation enthusiasts.”

Greg Principato, President and CEO of the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) stated, “Nevada’s network of airports supports commerce, agriculture and critical services throughout the state. We thank Governor Sandoval and the State Aviation Manager of the Nevada DOT, Matthew Furedy, for their work highlighting the significant role of general aviation and community airports in Nevada.”

“General aviation aircraft serve businesses and rural communities across the state of Nevada, providing the ability to quickly meet with clients, transport equipment and access job sites.” stated Thomas L. Hendricks, President and CEO of the National Air Transportation Association. “The general aviation industry also creates jobs and stimulates economic growth at the local and national level. NATA and our member companies in Nevada thank Governor Sandoval for his continued support of general aviation and the many groups that depend on the use of these aircraft for their work.”
