Pathways to Aviation and the Truckee Tahoe Airport invite all high school and college students to attend a unique career workshop focused on networking on Thursday, March 15.
Are you hoping to land a great job?
Have you ever considered a career in the aviation industry?
Do you know what employers are seeking when they hire interns and full-time staff?
Are you comfortable describing yourself and your career interests?
How do you represent yourself? Do you know your own personal brand?
How far can networking take you to landing a great job?
The first two sessions in our Truckee Tahoe Flight Plan series far exceeded our expectations. The large number of students made for very compelling conversations and connections. Students meet business executives, learn ways to land great jobs, and learn about aviation. The next session will feature industry presentations from a new set of executives and interactive discussions will help student learn the whys and hows of networking.
Attendees to the March session can expect:
- Industry Presentations from leaders representing Mountain Lion Aviation, United Airlines, and Click Bond.
- Career Speakers – Why “who you know” can be more important than “what you know.”
- Career Readiness Workshop – Students will learn about attire, first impressions, greetings, elevators, questions, quest/why, where, passing/closing, exchange, and followup.
- Question/Answer and Brief Networking
This program is great for students interested in learning about careers and what's needed to land great jobs. It's even better for students interested in applied manufacturing jobs, as many of the skills translate across industries. And, it's ideal for students driven to pursue aviation industry careers!
