Last night's networking event, where we paired students with aviation leaders, was a phenomenal success.
It was the first event of its kind and the culmination of a four-part career-readiness series. Hosted at Atlantic Aviation, ten students engaged in conversations with 22 aviation experts. Using a speed networking format, each student spent about seven minutes with each leader.
The number of students, the number of leaders, and the venue all proved to be exceptional for our first event. Special thanks go to Patrick Wink for opening Atlantic's doors, Eric Henry for co-facilitating the event and career mentoring series, the aviation leaders for taking time from work and families, and the students for participating in the mentoring program. It was a complete success.
The event validated our new Nevada Aviation Careers Initiated "idea." We'll soon share more information about upcoming workshops we're planning to host in the fall. We expect to engage students and leaders in both Reno and Truckee.
Enjoy the photos and brief video.
