Students to learn about networking on April 26

The next session in the four-part aviation careers series focuses on networking. Students will learn the hows and whys to network, then practice with local business and aviation executives.

The Nevada Aviation Careers initiative was launched to provide career preparation tactics and tips to students pursuing aviation careers, whether they plan to attend college or go directly to the workforce.

The first session provide basic information about pursuing careers in the aviation industry. One month later, students learned all about resumes, then met with aviation leaders, who provided additional guidance.

At this month's session, students will learn why creating strong professional networks can and should begin immediately. They'll understand first impressions, interpersonal branding, and engaging in meaningful conversations. Upon completion of the workshop, they'll meet with leaders to practice what they learned...and add connections to their new networks.

Students and aviation leaders are invited to participate, even if it's their first time to the workshop series.

Join us on Wednesday, April 26, at the Civil Air Patrol building, located at 601 S. Rock Blvd.
