An estimated 500 Carson High School students participated in today's career fair on campus. While it seemed like a lot more, we had the opportunity to brand our organization and talk careers to many students.
It appeared that over 40 businesses and organizations exhibited at today's career showcase, as the room was well-packed of students interested in part-time summer jobs to long-term careers.
The career fair gave us an extraordinary opportunity to promote our upcoming Aviation Career Week, where Carson High students can attend both Aviation Networking Nights (May 15 in Reno, May 17 in Truckee). They loved the idea of having a chance to meet aviation industry leaders and local business professionals.
We also promoted the Carson Airport Open House, taking place this June, where we'll have a strong presence.
And, many students were excited to hear that we're hosting career workshops at the Carson Airport throughout the 2018-2019 school year. Details are not finalized, but students will be connected today's top aerospace and unmanned aerial leaders.
Special thanks to Richard Kale and his career team at Carson High School for the invitation to promote aviation careers. We'll be back next year!
