Last night's career mentoring session at the Truckee Tahoe Airport was a big success.
The third session of the four career event series featured compelling speakers and interactive subject matter.
Three exceptional speakers shared their professional journeys, loads of good advice, and plenty of stories to a nice group of students. Big thanks go to:
Elizabeth Collins - Captain with United Airlines
Stacey Justesen - retired Navy pilot turned Safety Coordinator at the Truckee Tahoe Airport team
Devin Noe - Chief Possibilities Officer with Mountain Lion Aviation
These great speakers stayed to participate in a discussion about networking. Students learned about first impressions, meeting and greeting, conversations (topics to discuss, pronunciation, passing, closing, etc.), and followup. They now recognize the value of networking, particularly its application to their career journeys.
The students are geared up to attend the final session, the aviation networking reception, to be held on Thursday, April 19. They'll be showcased to aviation leaders, engaging in structured networking. For details and to RSVP, click here.
