Flight Plan Schedule Released

The 2020 Flight Plan, our on-site career mentoring workshop program, will be hosted at three airports. We’re ecstatic about our relationships at the Reno-Tahoe, Truckee Tahoe, and Carson airports and pleased to present our workshop schedule.

Now that the schedule is out, we’re actively inviting students and speakers to participate.

Students –  register for the free workshops.

Speakers – a number of slots remain for industry leaders to make presentations to the students.

Returning students can expect to see an expanded program, while new students will be amazed by all the resources. In addition to a more informative career workbook, this year’s program will feature one or two surprise opportunities at the January workshops, as well as increased emphasis on interviewing.

Take a second and sign up to participate – AND – spread the word to others about the workshops. The 2020 Flight Plan will be incredible. Students completing this year’s program will receive a new and exciting reward!

The New Office

We recently moved Pathways to Aviation to its first-ever office to help us meet the needs of our expanding programs and, more importantly, the students and organizations we serve. Though it may be small, our new home is helping catapult our productivity and impact.

We’re sharing building space with Immunize Nevada, which provides an abundance of resources to make Nevada’s communities and residents healthier. Here’s a photo from a recent ribbon cutting, thanks to the Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce.

The office is used to manage our operations, but it makes a better space as a studio. Students and job-seekers can take professional headshots, get their resumes reviewed, apply for jobs, and practice interviewing. We’re also using the studio to conduct industry leader interviews, host webinars, and produce career planning videos.

Stop by the office any time. It’s located at 855 East Fourth Street. We’d love to see you!

We’re Very Thankful

We hope your Thanksgiving was a fun and rewarding as ours. The Holiday spirit seems to bring out the best in all of us, reminding of all that we’re sincerely appreciative. Here at Pathways to Aviation, we’re exceptionally thankful for our:

Supporters – The past few months have been particularly kind to us. Donors such as the ISTAT Foundation, E.L. Cord Foundation, ROAA, Martis Camp Community Foundation, Sierra Aero, and one very generous anonymous donor, have opened doors of opportunity which result in career advancement opportunities for high school and college students.

Flight Team – This group of young leaders continue to impress us by providing keen insight into our expanded career mentoring program. By sharing feedback, understanding trends, and fresh ideas, these leaders are a key reason for our ability to change lives.

Industry Leaders – We routinely receive feedback on our programs, creative ideas relating to our vision, mentoring guidance for students, and financial support. The involvement of industry leaders has been instrumental!

Board of Trustees – The strategic vision which this group of leaders provides paves the way towards success, expansion, then more success. Their guidance, while governing a growing non-profit organization, is impressive.

We’re also thankful for the many people who describe our organization and programs to others in local and aerospace communities, provide assistance at our functions, and share ideas. The Pathways to Aviation family is very special.

Invitation to Support

Our ability to provide exceptional value to an increasing number of students and organizations is made possible thanks to four primary factors: vision, passion, leadership, and funding. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, which is 100% funded by private support, Pathways to Aviation relies upon sponsorship and charitable funding.

You are encouraged to make a donation, which we view as an investment in our quest to provide opportunities to young people and the overall aerospace industry. Click here to make a donation to Pathways to Aviation.

May your Holidays be filled with bountiful joy and promise!
