We're excited to announce that we're taking our Flight Plan program to the Carson Airport!
The news was well received at last Saturday's Carson Airport Open House, where a number of students visited our booth in the Education hangar. The fun takes place during the spring of 2019.
The Carson Flight Plan is the newest part of our Futures in Aerospace program, which is a unique program offered by Pathways to Aviation for high school and college students to get a leg up on exciting and fulfilling careers.
Here's the plan. From January through April, students will meet with industry leaders and get to know their experiences and careers. Then, they'll work closely with Pathways to Aviation leaders to hone their career readiness skills.
The preliminary schedule is as follows:
- January 2019 – Career readiness topics: Industry trends, job opportunities, colleges, scholarships
- February 2019 – Career readiness topics: Soft skills, hard skills, career interests
- March 2019 – Career readiness topics: Resume writing, cover letters
- April 2019 – Career readiness topics: Personal Branding, 30-second elevator, networking
The Flight Plan series culminates in May with our popular Aviation Networking Night, where students will meet with industry professional through meaningful conversations.
